Offseason Programs Explained

Phase 1: Strength & Conditioning (2 weeks)

The first phase focuses on physical conditioning with no on-field football activities. Players work with strength coaches on fitness, flexibility, and injury rehabilitation.

Phase 2: Individual Work (3 weeks)

Players begin individual on-field drills with coaches but no team activities. Position-specific skills are developed and refined.

  • • No offense vs defense work
  • • Maximum 10 days of on-field work

Phase 3: OTAs & Minicamp (4 weeks)

Organized Team Activities feature 7-on-7, 9-on-7, and 11-on-11 drills. No live contact, but teams install offensive and defensive schemes.

  • • Team practices (OTAs)
  • • Mandatory minicamp (3 days)
  • • Full team installation
  • • No contact or pads
